Concrete Slabs, Pads & Sidewalks in Wilmington, NC
Level, reinforced slabs for garages, sheds, RVs, boats and hot tubs — plus sidewalks and walkways that tie it all together.
Not every project is a showpiece — some just need to be flat, strong and done right. We pour garage and shop floors, RV and boat parking pads, shed and hot tub pads, AC and generator pads, sidewalks and walkways across the Wilmington area.
Every slab gets a compacted base, the right thickness for its load, rebar or wire mesh where it matters, and control joints cut on time. Need a smooth trowel finish for a garage, broom for outdoor traction or exposed aggregate for a walkway? We match the finish to the use.
What you get

Sidewalks & walkways
Broom, exposed aggregate or stamped borders to match your home.
Not the cheapest bid. The one you won’t have to redo.
A cheap slab costs less on day one and more every year after — cracks, sinking, fading color. Here is what every MJ project includes that a low bid usually skips.
| Typical low bid | The MJ standard | |
|---|---|---|
| Base | Poured on whatever dirt is there | Excavated, graveled and compacted in lifts |
| Thickness | 3–3.5" to save material | 4" patios, 5–6" with rebar for heavy vehicles |
| Reinforcement | None, or fiber only | Wire mesh or rebar + fiber, sized to the load |
| Concrete mix | Cheapest available | 3,500–4,000 PSI, air-entrained for the coast |
| Control joints | Too few, or cut too late | Planned into the layout and cut the same day |
| Sealer | Optional or watered down | UV-stable sealer with anti-slip grit included |
| Supervision | Crew without the owner | Juan on every pour |
| Quote | One number, extras later | Line-item and in writing, no surprises |

Common questions: Concrete Slabs, Pads & Sidewalks
How thick should a concrete RV or boat pad be?
We pour RV and boat pads 5–6 inches thick with rebar over a compacted base. Standard 4-inch slabs are fine for cars, sheds and walkways, but heavy point loads from trailer jacks need more.
How much does a concrete slab cost in Wilmington, NC?
Plain concrete slabs and sidewalks usually run $10–$16 per square foot depending on thickness, reinforcement, site prep and finish. Small pads have a minimum job charge.
